Each year, in the weeks leading up to Earth Day (April 22nd) various organizations, student groups + social media encourages action + participation in initiatives that focus on the urgent need for environmental justice, sustainable development + climate solutions.
But, I say that everyday is a good day to bring attention to some easy sustainable swaps you can make on the daily. These swaps make for a more sustainable habit + most of them make your day to day a bit easier! I've also included other ways to honor Mother Earth.

Reusable WATER BOTTLES + Travel MUGS
Ditch plastic + commit to using less single use plastic. Use a refillable water bottle every day.
Why?
Using plastic may lead to leaching + toxicity. Plastic contains chemicals + they can leach into water, especially if they are being transported or kept in hot climates.
Each plastic water bottle leeches harmful chemicals into our environment along the way as it decomposes. Plastic bottles contain Bisphenol (BPA), the chemical used to make the plastic hard + clear.
My family + I have multiple reusable water bottles + travel mugs for our beverages from the family + employee owned brand, Klean Kanteen. We always keep them filled + in our fridge for easy access. They hold 32 oz of water + we never leave the house without them.
